Kimberly Seeger, CPLP - Solutions Cafe 

"I heard about [Trish] through the ASTD community and it was an obvious choice of who to go to for help." Already accomplished as the owner of a successful business and the recipient of a brand new Master's degree, Kimberly Seeger decided to further distinguish herself in the world of workplace learning and performance professionals by attaining the prized CPLP certification in the spring of 2007.

"I had been deeply involved in the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) community for several years," Kimberly said, "and I had clients who very much valued this credential. And because they valued it, I, too, valued it. Those big companies said, 'this is going to step you up a notch.'"

To prepare for the CPLP Knowledge Exam, Kimberly said that she found support in a study group comprised of other aspiring CPLP candidates. But the credentialing program's second phase, the CPLP Work Product submission, left Kimberly feeling secluded and--as a mother of three and with a business to run--with a limited amount of time to organize her submission.

At this point, Kimberly said, it was time for her to seek help.

"That's when Trish came into play," she said. "I heard about her through the ASTD community--that she was the go-to person because of the tools that she had developed--and it was an obvious choice of who to go to for help."

Using her flair for guidance and her familiarity of the CPLP certification process, Kimberly said that Trish was able to help her focus her own skills and knowledge to complete the Work Product submission with flying colors.

"Trish was very generous with her time," Kimberly said. "She did a high-level of 'this is how you can apply what you know to this specific area of the Work Product;' even with the emotional perspective--all the cheerleading that she did--Trish was fabulous all the way to the end."

Now, two years after her certification, Kimberly continues to contribute to the ASTD community as a Baton Rouge ASTD Board member and is the 2009 president of her chapter.
