Work Product Program Changes & a WARNING

Printer-Friendly Format

===================================================================
CPLPCOACH.COM Tip of the Week - December 2009
===================================================================

Accelerated change is everywhere - and the CPLP Work Product submission phase is no exception!

Today's tip is all about changes to the Work Product program & policies - and a warning about careless submissions.

Listen up, candidates!

You need to know the following three (3) critical points:
  1. Lots of Candidate Bulletin changes. Chapters 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9, 10 & 11 in the Candidate Bulletin have been updated. A summary of these changes was emailed to CPLP Work Product submission candidates working toward the March 4, 2010 deadline.* The revised  Candidate Bulletin is available on the ASTD CI Web site. Please download & review the revised materials from the Candidate Bulletin Web site: http://bit.ly/5SplyU
  2. Not paying close attention can hurt your submission. Sloppy Work Product submissions & ignorance of the submission rules could result in DISQUALIFICATION or FAILURE. Read the annex here: http://bit.ly/6kkOfv
  3. Designing Learning sample submission posted! The ASTD Certification Institute (ASTD CI) has posted its first ever Work Product submission sample! The sample submission is Appendix D of the Candidate Bulletin: http://bit.ly/6kkOfv
* If you are a CPLP Work Product candidate working toward the March 4, 2010 deadline and you did not receive an email with the summarized changes, please contact Pat Byrd at the ASTD Certification Institute (ASTD CI) - pbyrd@astd.org

These revisions are brand new, so we are in the process of updating the Work Product materials available on CPLPCOACH.com with the changes.

CPLPCOACH.com subscribers can find Work Product materials at:

We are also making sure that our CPLP Work Product Coaches have the new information integrated into our coaching materials for the group Work Product coaching sessions that start January 20th, 2010:

In our online Work Product coaching sessions, we will spend quite a bit of time reviewing the ASTD CI sample, as well as other example Work Product submissions.

If you're planning on joining us, you can get a head start by reviewing the ASTD CI sample early.

What's next?

I know this time of year is often spent on family & reflection. I would encourage you to do just that - take a little downtime.

The CPLP Work Product submission phase is no easy task and presents a whole new set of challenges in the certification process.

Rest up! So you can come out swinging in January, ready to pour time & energy into putting your Work Product submission packet together in time for early March 2010.

From the team here at Owl's Ledge we wish you warm regards and a joyous holiday season!

All good things ahead - here's to your success!
